French Toast Instructions

The following instructions are recommended to make French toast:

French Toast Instructions:

(1) Using a shallow bowl whisk together the eggs and milk (or blend together with a fork). Whisk in the vanilla and seasonings.

(2) Melt the butter in a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

(3) Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture just before you add the bread to the fry pan. Make sure both sides are fully covered. This step could take a little practice. Leave it too long and the bread disintegrates; not long enough, the bread doesn't get coated.

(4) Fry the bread in the butter until browned on each side. Add however many slices of bread fit in the pan without squishing everything together.

(5) Cook the bread until it is golden brown and then flip it, preferably with a spatula. Let the other side cook until golden brown as well.

(6) Serve it immediately with with syrup, or a dusting of powdered sugar or maple syrup.

(7) Enjoy!

Note, if you are using this easy recipe to teach your kids how to cook, make sure that they are supervised especially when using the frying pan! Otherwise, this is a great beginner recipe.
